ERCOT Grid Peak
~85,000 MW
Planned data centers could double the grid
As of late 2025, ERCOT was processing more than 233 GW of large load interconnection requests — more than 70% from data centers. The Texas grid peaks at roughly 85,000 MW. If even a fraction of these projects are built, they will fundamentally reshape Texas energy demand. Not one required a local vote.

Know Something We Don’t?

If you know of a data center being planned in your county that isn’t listed here, report it. Texans are the best source of intelligence on what’s happening in their own communities.

Not one of these required a local vote.
The #1836Project demands the 90th Legislature change that.
